Where used on this website, the following terms shall have the respective meanings as indicated,

“SMS” means Short Messaging Service popularly called Text Messaging Service available on Mobile Networks;

“Premium Rate Short Code” means a short code with a premium of more than Ten Ghana Pesewas (10Gp). All other short codes of premium 10Gp or less are Standard Rate or Toll-Free or Non-Premium Short Codes.

“Non-Premium Rate Short Code” means a short code with a charge per SMS of less than Ten Ghana Pesewas (10Gp). All other short codes of premium more than 10Gp are Premium Short Codes.

“SMS Hits” means inbound SMS messages sent by a subscriber to a short code which has been billed successfully.

“Royalty Payout” means a portion of revenue on premium short codes generated from use of the Service by a subscriber, which SMSGH pays out to a client for any payment cycle.

“Messaging Service” means Online SMS Messaging service available on the World Wide Web or Internet at www.smsgh.com with secured features for bulk sending, termination and receiving of SMS messages to and from mobile devices via mobile networks in Ghana.

“HTTP(S), SMPP, SMTP, FTP, XML and COM OBJECT” means acronym internet data transfer protocols defined fully as (Secured) Hyper Text Transfer Protocol, Short Message Peer-to-Peer, Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, File Transfer Protocol, Extensible Markup Language and Component Object Model, respectively.
